An incredible and rewarding week, where God did so much work in peoples precious lives!
We had the honour of:
- Empowering the Churches to reach their community,
- Teaching business leaders how to reach their community,
- Preaching the Gospel to the men and women at the local Jail (plus delivering much needed supplies).
- Building into the Women of the Church; and
- Preaching the Gospel over a 5 night Crusade!
At the Crusade, we had 1750 salvations! Each of these are individually followed up by church leaders to be planted in there local churches.
We can sometimes forget, that we are talking about 1750 individuals that have responded to the love of Jesus. Each have a story.
Two of those 1750 have a incredible story that I would like to share. On the second last night of the crusade, two women had just finished agreeing with two men on a price to hire out their bodies for the night.
Just after this was agreed, an Ethiopian Christian man stood in between the girls and these two men. He said to the two women, “ I will pay you the same price these two men have offered you, but I have something so much better for your life”. The girls agreed and this Christian man lead them to the crusade field. As soon as the girls set foot upon the crusade field, they turned to this man and said, “we feel different, we feel an amazing peace, we don’t want your money, we want to find out what this is about”. They heard the gospel, responded to the call of Jesus, came to the altar and surrendered their lives into the loving arms of Jesus. They had only known lust, shame and unworthiness, but for the first time in their lives they encountered the true love, peace and joy of Jesus.
As I stood on the platform and lead them in a prayer to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, I was filled with so much compassion, love and joy for these new sisters in the Lord! Praise God! May he receive ALL the Glory!
